World Teachers’ Day 2022: GTC Offers Free Seminar on Inclusive Education

To mark World Teachers’ Day 2022, the head of our training college, Mrs Adebimpe Ajibola announced a free training on inclusive education for teachers during a World Teachers’ Day radio talk show. 

Free slots were given to five teachers who called in during the radio talk show, while teachers who registered on or before the 15th of October were given a 15 per cent discount on the training fee. 

The training was in the form of a seminar titled: “Every Learner Matters: Effective Teaching and Learning Strategies in an Inclusive School’.​ There, we educated teachers and school owners on the strategies for becoming a more inclusive school and methods for supporting children with special needs. 

The topics covered at the seminar include: understanding the place of inclusion in schools; effective teaching and learning strategies for inclusion in schools; emotional intelligence for teachers in an inclusive school; and embedding child protection and safeguarding in the school culture.

The training was held on the 5th of November at Greensprings School, Anthony campus.
