Welcome to Greensprings Montessori Centre (GMC), Lagos, Nigeria. We are a pioneering International Montessori Teacher Training Centre, accredited by The Montessori Accreditation Council for Teacher Education (MACTE), in the U.S.A. We are also affiliated with Independent Not in a Consortium.
At Greenspring Montessori Centre, we are committed to providing high-quality, comprehensive training programs that entrenches foundational courses in Montessori philosophy and principles thereby fostering a deep understanding of the Montessori method and its application in modern educational settings.
Our mission is to promote early childhood education and deliver high quality teacher education which will equip our adult learners with a solid foundation in the Montessori philosophy, methods, materials and interactions.
We strive to cultivate a community of dedicated, innovative, and compassionate Montessori educators who will shape the future of Early Childhood Education in Nigeria.
Dr. Maria Montessori (1870 – 1952), the proponent of the Method was the first female medical doctor from Italy. She devoted her life to developing a system for educating young children. She was the genius behind one of the universally accepted best methods for educating young children. Fundamental to her approach is the belief that a child’s early years- from birth to six are the period when the greatest capacity to learn is examined.
